17 th August 2010 - now:   ANDALUSIA
After a long period of travelling - back in Spain :-)

29 th July - 13 th August 2010:   ICELAND !!!!
At the moment I am travelling over the amazing island of fire and ice - ICELAND !!!
I am fascinated by the gorgeous Icelandic Horses and the great nature! I can really recommend horse-riding holidays in Iceland! Right now I am visiting many horse-riding farms for you. Soon you will find them on my website.

10 th August 2010:
Before I had to leave the beautiful horse-region of Varmahlid in the evening, I went again on a great riding tour. We started our trip in a lonely valley and then we climbed up on the mountains, went along wide lowlands with great views and along poweful glacier rivers. We took additional horses with us and in the middle of the way we changed the horses. At lunchtime we took a recreative rest for the horses and the riders next to a small lake in a peaceful valley. Again another great trip on horse-back with amazing Icelandic horses!

09 th August 2010:
Today I am staying in the amazing region of Varmahlid, famous for its horse-tradition. After a very welcoming reception I moved into a wonderful small wooden house and took a relaxing bath in the "hot pot".
In the evening the boss personally took me on a great excursion on horse-back. First we went to a powerful waterfall and then up to a mountain with stunnig views into the valley surrounded by beautiful mountains. To climb down the mountain, we took our horses by the hand. Again I was convinced by the shurefootedness of the Icelandic Horses - really incredible! Once we reached the glacial river we went in "tölt" along the riverside back home. Again another great trip on horse-back!

05 th August 2010:
Today I have been convinced once again by the great character of the Icelandic Horses!
It is incredible how they can climb like a goat up and down the mountains. Never ever I would have imagined this before. In the morning we did a spectacular climb up to a mountain, mostly 700 meters high!
We took with us horses by the hand to make a horse-change during the trip. On a peaceful mountain plateau our guides set up a small fence where the horses which already had been ridden could rest. On the top of the mountain we had been in the clouds but for a short moment it cleared up and we had a short look into the valley. After a peaceful and relaxing break in the amazing nature we started to climb down again.
It was a really unforgettable experience - thank you very much for taking me there!
In the evening I had to continue my journey to the North, to Akureyi. On the trip we passed by the amazing fjords direction to Egilsstadir, along the lonely highlands, to the hot springs, the famous waterfall "Godafoss", the lake "Myvatn" and the volcanic formations of "Dimmuborgir".

04 th August 2010:
Today we went on two beautiful rides, one ride in the morning and another one in the afternoon - just great! In the morning we went into the fjords along the impressive mountains until we reached the sea. It was cloudy and a little bit rainy, but once on horse-back you don't care the weather anymore! You just forget everything around you and enjoy it! We have been into the sea with the horses, crossed some glacial rivers and tölted along the black sandy beach! Just wonderful!
After the delicous lunch at our host's home, we went again on a riding tour. The horses from the morning ride could enjoy their freedom on the grassland and we chose other horses out of the herd. Our guide leaded us to an awesome waterfall in total peaceful landscape. We had luck with the weather, the sun came out of the clouds to accompagnie us. back to the farm we tölted along the valley. The Icelandic Horses are really amazing horses!
After a long riding day our kind hosts took us to the "hot pot" into town. It was so great to sit in the natural hot water and enjoy the view to the mountains, a few raindrops falling down - a really relaxing atmosphere!

03 rd June - 12 th June 2010:     HUNGARY !!!!
Directly after my Ireland-trip I took the plane to Hungary. After one night in Budapest I went to the famous Balaton lake. In this beautiful region around the Balaton I found some nice horse-riding farms for you. A horse-riding holiday at Balaton lake is also ideal for families and if you go with friends who dont want to go horse-riding because you have many other sport and leisure possibilities (golf, watersports, ..).

18 th May - 03 rd June 2010:     IRELAND !!!!
Ireland - the green island - really fascinated me very much! Shure I will come back soon, it is such an amazing countryside und such a positive atmosphere with really friendly and welcoming people. From the first moment I felt like at home :-)
I visited a lot of horse-farms for you. Soon you will find them on my website.
Over 2000 km I made by car all over the island and I discovered really amazing places!
My journey took me from Dublin to the south to Kilkenny, Thurles, Killarney, Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula. Then I went up the whole West Coast along Abbeyfeale, Limerick, Newmarkt-on-Fergus, Burren Nationalpark, Galway, Connemarra,  Achill Island, Westport, Sligo, Donegal, Letterkenny, Fanad, Dundalk and finally back to Dublin.
I have had really luck with the weather: 2 1/2 weeks of sunshine and 26 degrees !!!! Unbelievable !!! It was so impressive that I felt like in a fairy tale. A riding-holiday in Ireland - really recommendable!

March 2010:     SOUTH TYROL / ITALY !!
At eastern I have been in South Tyrol, in the north of Italy. The region of Meran lies in a beautiful landscape in the the Alps and you can find countless paths for horse-riding and hiking. Close to Meran is situated the home region of the famous "Haflinger" horses: the small mountain village "Hafling". Here I have found some nice riding-farms for you.

January 2010:     MAJORCA !!!!
In early spring when the almond trees are in full bloom the whole island is shining in white and pink colours. It is really impressive! I have been travelling all over the island to find the most beautiful horse-farms for you. And I realiced that it is really important to know all places personally to assure quality, because some farms have really nice photos on their websites in internet, but if you go there you will find the total opposite what you expect. So I was confirmed by my concept to visit all farms personally.

October 2009:    ALGARVE PORTUGAL !!!
My first trip to visit horse-holiday farms was in Portugal, at the famous Algarve coast. I have been travelling hundred of kilometres to find the farms which have been spread all over the countryside. In the back-country of the very touristic Algarve coast you still can find some typical and original Portuguese towns.  In some places you feel like time stands still. The opposite you will find at the coast where unfortunately are too many big hotels and tourism places. The West Coast is still very original place and famous for its good conditions for (wind-) surfers.

AROUND THE WORLD: 15 th January - 30 th March 2009:   NEW ZEALAND !!!!!
Aotearoa - the "Land of the long white cloud" - lies at the other end of the world. It is an amazing holiday destination with a very multifaceted landscape - glaciers, snow-covered mountains, endless lowlands, deserted beaches, small bays, crystal clear lakes, fern forests, ... On the beautiful Northern Island I have discovered two cosy Bed & Breakfast homestays. You will find riding-stables nearby. A real insider tip!

September 2007 - today:  ANDALUSIA !!!
Since 2007 I am living in the beautiful Andalusia. Already three months after I moved there I was the proud owner of my Andalusian stallion. I enjoy riding with my stallion along the cliff line, along the lovely beaches and in the pine forest. If the sky is clear you can even see Africa - awesome!

October 2006 - August 2007:   GRAN CANARIA
In October 2007 I moved to Gran Canaria. I have been living close to the coast with the famous dunes of Maspalomas as well as in the gorgeous mountains in the inside of the island. Especially I was fascinated by the interior of the island with its canyons, steep mountains, bizarre volcanic formations and the stunning views! Unfortunately it is not allowed to go horse-riding at the beaches of Gran Canaria, but once we did it anyway in the night by full-moon and it just was unforgettable!

Summer 2007:   NORDERNEY / GERMANY

I have spent three wonderful months in summer 2007 with my horse on the island Norderney at the North Sea of Germany. It is an unforgettable experience to go riding with your own horse at the endless beaches and enjoying the sunrise and sunset on horse-back. Also you can go for some nice rides through the dunes and to the end of the island where is situated an old ship-wreck.

Summer 2000:   SLOVENIA !!!
SLOVENIA is such a wonderful country - in such a small area you will find such a variety of amazing landscape! On of the highlight for each horse-fan is a visit of the famous stud in Lipica.
